PhD Student Representatives to the IACMR Board
There are two Ph.D. student representatives. One should be based in mainland China and one from outside mainland China. The Ph.D. student representatives are non-voting positions. The Ph.D. student representatives should represent the views of Ph.D. students in discussions regarding IACMR activities and policies. The representatives should think of and help implement ways to get more Ph.D. students to be members of IACMR and to get those Ph.D. students who are members more actively involved in IACMR. The Ph.D. student representatives should also reflect about and help to implement other membership services. The Ph.D. representatives also will help with various tasks assigned to them by the President. The term for the Ph.D. representative is three years, as “Incoming Student Representative” the first year and “Student Representative” the second and third year. Preference is given to Ph.D. students who are completing the second year of their studies (third year doctoral students can also be considered) since it is preferable that they will be Ph.D. students for most of their term.
