Other Information

The conference will offer up to 30 grants to graduate students to partially cover hotel charge and travel cost to attend the 2006 Conference of the International Association for Chinese Management Research. Overseas students can apply for both travel and hotel grants, and PRC students are only eligible for hotel grants.  

Hotel Grant

The hotel grant is for the Grand Metropark Hotel only. The cost of five nights at the Grand Metropark Hotel is RMB2500. We will give each student RMB800 hotel grant, accounting for 32% of the total cost. All Graduate students are eligible to apply, regardless of nationality or location. The grant will NOT be issued in cash, but settled directly with the hotel based on the list of grant recipients. We strongly encourage students to share a room with one another, as this will not only help save cost but also foster networking among the students. Willingness to share a room could be indicated in your hotel reservation form.

Travel Grant

The travel grant will be USD200 for each student. Only graduate students from overseas are eligible for this grant. Students will be given RMB1600 on site with a copy of their air tickets.

Award Criteria

The grants will be awarded on a competitive basis, and priority will be given to those who present paper or otherwise actively involved in the conference and who hold IACMR membership status. While registration for the Conference is not a pre condition to apply, only paid registrants are eligible to receive the grant once awarded.  

All grant application forms should be received before March 31, 2006, and the awards will be announced by April 15, 2006.
