Li Ning Dissertation Grant
Emerald/IACMR Chinese Management Research Fund Award
The Li Ning Dissertation Grant, sponsored by Li Ning Company, is established to encourage doctoral students to conduct the dissertation research that borrows existing theories, with appropriate contextualization, to analyze Chinese management phenomena, as well as develops context-specific theories to explain unique Chinese management phenomena.

Emerald/IACMR Chinese Management Research Fund Award
This award supports the dissemination of knowledge for the social good with a specific orientation toward benefit for mainland China. At least one member of the research team was to be based in mainland China. Each application is judged, by a panel of experts, on the criteria below. The research must (i) be of significance, and in particular, illustrate how it will benefit the social good; (ii) demonstrate originality and innovation; (iii) make an outstanding contribution to theory and its application; (iv) illustrate the appropriateness and application of the methodology; and (v) demonstrate sound implications for theory and practice.
The winner receives a prize fund of £2,000 to go towards their research project. The IACMR is pleased to offer both the winner and the “Highly Commended” runner-up a complimentary membership, which includes a subscription to Management and Organization Review, for a limited time of 12 months. In addition to this, the winners will also be offered a free 12-month personal online subscription to Emerald’s Chinese Management Studies journal.
